Helen D. Sargent

Gilford-----Helen D. Sargent, 73, of 20 Mitchell Road died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Mrs. Sargent was the widow of Atty. Samuel L. Sargent who died in 2003.

Mrs. Sargent was born April 2, 1936 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Adalbert and Alice (Maheux) Doucet.

Mrs. Sargent was employed as a florist at Jackson Star in Gilford and was proprietor of the family mobile home park.

Mrs. Sargent was a very active member of the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and cooking for her family.

Mrs. Sargent is survived by a son, Robert L. Sargent, of Chelmsford, Mass., three daughters, Simone Maglio, Denise Sargent and Louise Sargent, all of Gilford; five grandchildren, Stephanie Maglio, Eric Maglio and Elizabeth Maglio all of Gilford and Gregory Sargent and Nicholas Sargent both of Chelmsford, Mass.; one great grandchild, Kalina Helene Andrews; her mother, Alice (Maheux) Doucet, of Laconia; three brothers, Robert Doucet of Colorado, Roger Doucet of Belmont and Leo Doucet of Rhode Island; three sisters, Claire Shuten of Michigan, Lorraine Satchell of California and Simone Schwerin of Michigan and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and her father, Mrs.Sargent was predeceased by a sister, Cecile M. Brough, in 1993.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 10:30AM at the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 349 Meredith Center Road, Laconia, N.H. Pastor Joel Nason will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.
