Donald B. Kuethe

Tilton-----Donald B. Kuethe, 88, of 139 Winter Street, N. H. Veterans Home died at the Franklin Regional Hospital, on Monday, October 26, 2009. Mr. Kuethe was the widower of Jeanne (Boudreau) Kuethe who died in 1976.
Mr. Kuethe was born June 12, 1921 in Covington, Kentucky, the son of William and Margaret (Meyer) Kuethe.
Mr. Kuethe was a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy and served during WWII and the Korean War. He attended Kent State University, Kenyon College and Harvard Business School with his education interrupted by military duty.
Mr. Kuethe lived in Laconia for several years before moving to Tilton four years ago. He had formerly lived in Annapolis, Maryland for a number of years. He was a Vice President of Marketing for a number of companies throughout the United States. He was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church, Laconia and was a very active member in his former churches.
Mr. Kuethe was a past president of the Material Handling Institute and chair of the education committee. He was a devoted family man, had a great sense of humor and was a true gentleman. He enjoyed walking, bowling, golfing, reading and American History.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna J. Kuethe, of Gilford; a son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Theresa M. Kuethe, of Annapolis, Maryland and many nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 10:00AM at Saint James Episcopal Church, 876 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. Interim Priest, Rev. William Romer, will officiate.
Burial will follow at 2:30 PM in the family lot in Swampscott Cemetery, Essex Street, Swampscott, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Veterans Home Activities fund, 139 Winter Street, Tilton, N.H. 03276 or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942
