Joan L. Philbrick

Laconia-----Joan L. Philbrick, 78, of 765 Union Avenue and formerly of 99 Fair Street, died at her home on Monday, October 22, 2007.

Mrs. Philbrick was born September 9, 1929 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of Gordon F. and Alice M. (Powell) Bean. 

Mrs. Philbrick was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and was a graduate of Belmont High School.  She was employed in Food Services at Laconia High School and also worked as an aide at the St. Francis Home.

Mrs. Philbrick was a former member of the Esther Rebekah Lodge #9.

Survivors include two sons, Walter S. Philbrick of Dixon, Illinois, and Roland G. Philbrick of Laconia; two daughters, Helen A. Philbrick of Laconia and Nancy J. Philbrick of Gilmanton; three grandsons; three granddaughters; two great grandsons; five great granddaughters and a sister, Jane Shepard, of Laconia.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Philbrick was predeceased by her husband, Walter S. Philbrick, in 1991 and by three brothers, Sidney Bean, John Bean and James Bean.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home.

 Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, N. H.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, N. H. 03101.
