Leo C. Audet

Laconia, NH-----Leo C. Audet, 85, of 30 Gilman Street, died at the Genesis Healthcare Center on Friday, October 12, 2007 after a brief illness.

Mr. Audet was born June 24, 1922 in Laconia, the son of Egide and Marie (Gagnon) Audet. Mr. Audet was the widower of Mary (Jackson) Audet, who died March 15, 2006.

Mr. Audet was a life long resident of the Lakes Region. He was a letter carrier for thirty-three years for the US Postal Service. Mr. Audet was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corp. He was in the China Burma India Theater and flew in numerous missions over the Hump.

Mr. Audet was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert Audet, and his wife, Janet; a daughter, Linda Audet, all of Laconia; two grandchildren, Michael Audet, a student of Dartmouth College, Hanover, and Katherine Audet, a student of New England College, Biddeford, Maine and one nephew. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Lionel Audet.

Calling hour will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, New Hampshire. 

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.
