Stephen G. Carson

Barnstead-----Stephen G. Carson, 52, of 240 South Barnstead Road, died at his home on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Carson was born July 14, 1955 in Wolfeboro, N.H., the son of Floyd J. and Patricia R. (Kimball) Carson. He lived in Barnstead for twenty-six years and was a 1973 graduate of Bishop Brady High School, Concord.  He and his father were owners of Carson Construction.

Mr. Carson loved his family and friends.  He enjoyed planes, golfing, traveling and riding his Harley.  He enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include his wife, Sharron (Silver) Carson, of Barnstead, N. H.; a son, Justin T. Vassillion, and his wife, Joyce, of Fayetteville, N. C.; two daughters, Jennifer L. Vassillion and her friend, David Dame, of Strafford, N. H. and Autumn Starr Carson of Barnstead, N. H; four grandchildren, Dalton A. Swenson and Matthew J. Swenson, both of Barnstead, N. H. and Alexis V. Kovolenko and Zoe A. Vassillion both of  Fayetteville, N. C.; his parents, Floyd J. & Patricia Carson, of Pittsfield, N. H.; a brother, Christopher J. Carson, of Billerica, Mass.; a sister, Kathleen J. Carson, of Campton, N. H.; several nephews and nieces and his special friend, Dana Swenson, of  Salisbury, N. H.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 1:00PM at the St. Katharine Drexel Church, Rte 28 & 40 Hidden Springs Road, Alton, N. H., by Rev. George E. Ham, Pastor of the Church.

A private family burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Barnstead, N. H.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve’s name to the Payson Center for Cancer, Office of Philanthropy, 250 Pleasant Street, Concord, N.H. 03301.
