Cecille D. (Lacroix) Henry

Tilton-----Cecille D. (Lacroix) Henry, 85, formerly of 380 West Main Street died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, October 17, 2006.  She had been a resident of Genesis Eldercare Network – Laconia Center since March. She was the widow of Willard “Hank” G. Henry who died in 1991.

Mrs. Henry was born August 26, 1921 in Gilford, NH, the daughter of Albert W. and Grace E. (Morin) Lacroix.

Mrs. Henry lived most of her life in Gilford before moving to Tilton in 1990.  She was employed at Our Lady of the Smiles Shrine in Pittsfield and was also employed at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Lakes Region General Hospital, and the St. Francis Home.  She retired in 1983.

Mrs. Henry was an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion Unit #58, Belmont, NH.

Mrs. Henry was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish in Belmont.   

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and Mary Day, of Sanbornton; a daughter and son-in-law, Cecille “Sue” and Richard Sargent, of Belmont; a stepson, Steven Henry; four stepdaughters, Maureen Tessier of Massachusetts, Janice Mistler of Gilmanton, Lorriane Bernstein of North Carolina and Elaine Belkas of Danville, NH; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert S. Lacroix of Belmont and F. D. “Jerry” Lacroix and his wife, Kathy, of Gilford; a Goddaughter, Mary Lacroix, of Tilton and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.   In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, G. Doreen Wright, in 2001and by a brother, Maurice C. Lacroix.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, Belmont, on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 10:00AM.

Burial will be in the family lot at St. John’s Cemetery, Tilton, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Visiting Nurse Association, 75 Chestnut Street, Franklin, NH.  03235.
