Send a condolence note

Kay Barnard, 60, from Laconia and beyond passed away Friday evening October 20, 2006 during a spectacular thunder and windstorm in Laconia.

She went peacefully with her three children Holly, Katie and Ethan, her grandson Alex and The Twins at her side.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She leaves behind three children, Holly Katie and Ethan Boudreau. 3 Grandchildren Alex, Isaac and Jordan Boudreau.

She is the daughter of Clarence F. Barnard and Dorothy Forsberg Young. Her loving stepmother Kathryn Ann Barnard predeceases her.

She also leaves behind her sisters and brothers Scott, Heidi, Peggy and Steven Barnard as well as 2 nieces and 4 nephews.

Our mom was a seeker of knowledge and truth. She was an avid reader, writer and philosopher and artist. She was a wise and intuitive spiritual woman who saw light and love in nature. She found a spiritual connection with the land she lived on and the animals that inhabited the land along with her. She touched many people’s lives over her short years and made many acquaintances, and called very few friend. The Twins are as much a part of her life as her family. Thank you for your undying love and devotion to our mother. Thank you Martha for your wisdom, clarity and guidance through the last leg of her journey here on earth. Over the years our mother has had many professions. She started out as a hairdresser and did everything from bookkeeping to office management. More recently she found much reward in working with small non-profit organizations. She was the Operations Manager for The American Society of Dowsers in Danville, VT. After moving back to Laconia, NH she had been volunteering her time and energy at The Community Wellness Center where she was Treasurer. Thank you Maggie and John for your caring and support.

At Kay’s wish there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
