George Huckins

Laconia------George Huckins, 68, of 7 Church Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, October 6, 2005.

Mr. Huckins was born October 17, 1936 in Belmont, NH the son of Arthur and Sylvia (Kimball) Huckins. He was a lifetime resident of the Lakes Region and was employed at Shaker Village, Canterbury. Mr. Huckins served in the U. S. Army. He enjoyed working on small engines and tractors. He could be seen riding his 3-wheeler around town with his dog, “Lady”.

Survivors include three brothers, Lewis Huckins and Allen Huckins, both of Laconia and Percy Huckins of Newmarket; three sisters, Shirley L. Clifford of Moultonboro, Janet Jolin of Gilford and Marjorie Lawrence of Loudon; many nephews and nieces and his dog “Lady”. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by two brothers, Richard Huckins and Ray Kimball and by a sister, Madeline Ward.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 2:00PM at the family lot in Maple Grove Cemetery, Canterbury, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
