Robert A. Heald

Laconia-----Robert A. Heald, 78, of 238 Hillcrest Drive, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, October 13, 2005 after a brief illness.

Mr. Heald was born May 29, 1927 in South Natick, MA, the son of Robert and Cora A. (Schumann) Heald. He lived in Wayland, MA for forty years and was employed at Raytheon. He moved to Laconia in 1992. Mr. Heald was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building canoes and telling stories and jokes. Mr. Heald was a bridge and whist player and a collector of HO Trains. Mr. Heald was a member of AARP and was president in 1996. He was a member of the Laconia Elders Friendship Club, the Laconia Senior Center, the Belmont Senior Center, the Chocorua Lodge of Holderness and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ellacoya Chapter #43.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Barbara (Stone) Heald, of Laconia; a son, Robert A. Heald, Jr. of Lincoln, MA: three daughters, Cynthia Corbett of Moorhead, MN, Marcia Parker and her husband, Scott, of Litchfield, NH and Wendy L. Montag and her husband, Jerry, of Naperville, Ill; five grandchildren, Bryan Parker, Brad Parker, Allison Diwik, Andrew Diwik and Ashlynne Diwik and a cousin, Althea Sanborn, of Laconia, NH, and her family.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005 from 7:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Laconia Congregational Church, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia. Rev. Dr. Warren H. Bouton, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Congregational Church, Dorcas Fund, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, NH 03246.
