Tilton-----Philip E. Nielsen, 65, of 36 Lakewood Drive, died at his home on Thursday, October 6, 2005.

Mr. Nielsen was born January 30, 1940 in Boston, MA, the son of Carl I. and Louise M. (Binder) Nielsen.

Mr. Nielsen served in the U.S. Air Force. He lived in Billerica, MA for several years and was employed at Microwave Associates in Burlington, MA for twenty-seven years. He moved to Tilton eighteen years ago and was a self-employed contractor.

Mr. Nielsen enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and was a handyman.

Mr. Nielsen was a member of the Belmont Bogie Busters Snowmobile Club; the N. H. Snowmobile Association (NHSA) and the Lakewood Cottages Association.

Survivors include his wife, Marie “Terri” (Brockway) Nielsen, of Tilton, NH; a son, Philip C. Nielsen, of Billerica, MA; two daughters, Terrilynn L. Sera and Kimberly M. Rando, both of Hudson, NH; six grandchildren, Stephen A. Sera, Matthew P. Sera, Colleen M. Nielsen, Christian D. Nielsen, Nicole Rando and Mark Rando; two brothers, Kenneth C. Nielsen and his wife, Jane, of Needham, MA and Carl R. Nielsen, of Florida; a brother-in-law, John Devine, of Woburn, MA and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Judy L. Calari and Claire M. Devine.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2005 from 1:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Second Baptist Church of Sanbornton, Upper Bay Road, Sanbornton on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Dr. Robert Robertson pastor of the church will officiate.

Burial will follow services at 2:00PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Rte. 3 Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
