Donald E. "Ducky" Giguere

Belmont----Donald E. "Ducky" Giguere, 66, of 45 Westview Drive, passed away on October 11, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer.

Mr. Giguere was born April 6, 1936 in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Adelard and Ruth (Brough) Giguere.

He was a life long resident of the Lakes Region. Mr. Giguere graduated from Laconia High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army

Mr. Giguere was employed by the Laconia School District for over 20 years retiring in 1995. He had formerly been employed at Scott & Williams and J. H. Valliere Company.

Mr. Giguere was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Lochmere Golf & Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannette R. (Nadeau) Giguere of Belmont; two daughters, Donna Alexander of Gilmanton, NH and Catherine Coseno of Sutton, MA; a son Donald J. Giguere of Manchester, NH; 6 grandchildren Therese Colbath, Jonathan Colbath, Derek Colbath, Joseph Alexander, Jr., Michael Alexander and Jennifer Coseno; 6 brothers, Robert Giguere of Laconia, Maurice Giguere of Kenmore, WA., William Giguere of Lakeport, John Giguere of Stuart, FL., Norman Giguere of Laconia and David Giguere of Lawrenoeville, GA,; 3 sisters Margaret Fanny of Durham, NH, Arlene Little of Lakeport and Joann Price of Laconia; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his mother and father and a foster brother George Harris.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 14, 2002 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.

The Laconia Lodge of Elks will conduct a session of sorrow Monday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Laconia on Tuesday October 15, 2002 at 10 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
