Helen L. Clemons

Laconia-----Mrs. Helen L. Clemons, 84, of 25 Union Avenue, died at the Hospice House in Concord on Wednesday, October 9, 2002.

Mrs. Clemons was born February 21, 1918 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Andrew and Gladys (Lay) Chambers. She was an elementary school teacher for the Bartlett School District for several years before moving to Laconia in 1956. During her years in Bartlett, she was an adult advisor to the local 4-H.

Mrs. Clemons was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Laconia. She was a member of the United Alliance of Laconia and a member of the Golden Ages. She also was a Red Cross Volunteer.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Keith and two sons, James Clemons and Donald Paul Clemons, all of Freedom, NH; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2002 at 1:00PM at the First Christian Church, Elm Street, Freedom, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Concord VNA-Hospice House, PO Box 1797, Concord, NH 03302-1797.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
