Laconia-----Ronald A. Thibault, 61, of 20 Summer Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2008 after a long illness.

Ron was born May 13, 1947 in Laconia, the son of the late Lawrence E. and Irene ( Sevigny)Thibault.

Ron was a lifelong resident of Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1965. He received his Associates Degree from the N. H. Vocational Technical College, his Bachelor’s Degree from Plymouth State College and his Master’s Degree in Business from Southern New Hampshire University.

Ron served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was employed by the State of N. H. for thirty years.

Ron enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and woodworking.

Ron is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane (Wilson) Thibault, of Laconia; a daughter, Melanie A. Thibault, of Laconia; a granddaughter, Isabella Grace Thibault, of Laconia; a brother, Lawrence E. Thibault, Jr. of Belmont, three sisters, Elaine Lamm of Augusta, Maine, Denise Kenney of Meredith and Karen Powell of Laconia and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his son, Matthew A. Thibault, in 1988.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia by Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church.

Burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Matthew A. Thibault Scholarship, c/o Belmont High School, 255 Seavey Road, Belmont, NH 03220.

Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. is in charge of the arrangements.
