Laconia---Dora Georgianna Fugere Vallee, 93 of 120 Logan Drive, Laconia passed away at the Lakes Region General Hospital Friday November 21, 2008, surrounded by her loving family after a period of ill health.

Dora was born August 2, 1915 in Laconia the daughter of Alfred H. and Georgianna (Gagne) Ouellette. She was raised in Laconia and graduated from Sacred Heart High School.

Dora had formerly been employed at the Lund Ski Factory and also as a Nurses Aid at the Lakes Region General Hospital before moving to Calif.

As a widow and mother of four sons, Dora raised her children to manhood, encountering, difficulties with courage. She moved to Van Nuys, Calif. to be near members of her family. In Calif. she worked as a Nurses Aid. She enjoyed traveling in Hawaii, Alaska and throughout the United States.

Dora was an active communicant of St. Bridget Parish in Van Nuys and an active member of the Senior Citizen’s organization dedicated to the relief of the poor and less fortunate. She was also active in the Regional Catholic Marriage Preparation of engaged couples. After 30 years she returned to Laconia and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and an active member of The St. Vincent de Paul Society in Laconia.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years Lucien Vallee of Laconia; 2 sons Robert “Fudge” Fugere and his wife CJ Fugere of Belmont, John E. Fugere of Dayton, TX, 3 step-children Carol Vallee of Denver, Co. Gloria Rutt and her husband Wade of Cheyenne, WY. Kenneth Vallee and his wife Carol of Colorado Springs, CO.; 4 granddaughters Melissa Hill and her husband Rick of Laconia, Jannie Churchwood of Washington, Kelly Mcadam of Laconia, Jarna Nickelson of Scottland, 4 grandsons Tim and Deeann, John and Kathy; and Frank and Angie Fugere all of Texas and Troy Fugere of Franklin; several nephews and nieces and 17 great-grandchildren among them her cherished Ricky and Katie Hill. She was predeceased by her first husband Frank D. Fugere and two sons Richard Fugere of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Francis “Fudge” Fugere of Van Nuys, Calif.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 6-8 PM using the Carriage House entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Union Avenue, by Rev. Adrien Longchamps.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, PO Box 6123 Lakeport, NH 03247.
