Paul N. Bedard

Laconia, NH----Paul N. Bedard, 79, of 406 Court Street, Apt 103, Laconia and formerly of Massachusetts, died at the Saint Francis Healthcare Center, on Thursday, November 9, 2006.  He was the widower of Laura (Macioce) Bedard.

Mr. Bedard was born January 9, 1927 in Leominster, MA, the son of Joseph and Lorette (Lord) Bedard.

Mr. Bedard was raised in Leominster and was a graduate of Leominster High School where he was a member of the football team.       

Mr. Bedard served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. 

Mr. Bedard was a Pop Warner Coach and was President of Leominster Pop Warner.  He worked for deLongchamp Auto Sales in Fitchburg, Ma and also for Dean Little of Fitchburg.  In 1972, he moved to Dennis on Cape Cod and worked for Cape Motors in Hyannis before becoming a realtor, associated with Marchilden Assoc. and Dick Neitz Realtors.  He relocated to Laconia, NH in 2005.

Mr. Bedard enjoyed his grandchildren and gave the greatest hugs. He also enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, playing cards and the Patriots and was a champion bingo player.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael P. and Susan Bedard of Newbury, NH and Stephen and Elizabeth Bedard of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH; five grandchildren, Letty, Kate and Drew Bedard, all of Gilmanton, NH, Jennifer Howes of Worcester, MA and Tamsen Howes of Langdon, NH.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006 from 3:00-4:00PM at M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA followed by a service at 4:00PM also at the Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilmanton Year Round Library, Building Fund, PO Box 413, Gilmanton, NH 03237.
