Laconia----Evelyn C. Pendleton, 89, formerly of 53 Walker Street, Laconia and Sawyer Lake, Gilmanton, died at the Peabody Home in Franklin on Sunday, November 13, 2005. Mrs. Pendleton was the widow of Earle B. Pendleton who died in 1978.

Mrs. Pendleton was born October 14, 1916 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Waldo Jones and Agnes (Ladd) Clark and was a long time resident of the Laconia/Gilmanton area. She attended schools in Laconia and was a graduate of Laconia High School. Mrs. Pendleton was employed as a secretary for her brother, Raymond L. Clark, CPA for many years and formerly was employed at Browning Lab and Kinsman Organ.

Survivors include five nephews, Fred Zajchowski of Gilmanton, Thomas Zajchowski of Meredith, Edward Lavallee of Belmont, David Clark of Canada and Dean Clark of Gilford and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Charles L. Pendleton, in 1971; by two brothers, Raymond L. Clark in 2002 and Richard G. Clark in 1983; by two sisters, Arline Lavallee in 1981 and Gladys Zajchowski in 1999 and by two nieces, Sandra Russell and Norma Vonckx.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 10:00AM also in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Armitage, Pastor of the South Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
