Edna W. Dube

Laconia-----Edna W. Dube, 93, of the Taylor Community, died at the Congregate Living Center, on Monday, November 14, 2005.

Mrs. Dube was born April 8, 1912 in Dover, NH, the daughter of George F. and Grace E. (Stuart) White. She attended the Dover schools and was a 1930 graduate of Dover High School. From 1930-1933, she received her nurse’s training at Wentworth Hospital, Dover and was employed at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, from 1933-1952. She was the operating room supervisor for twelve years. She then worked with Dr. Ralph Adams for 7.5 years before retiring in 1959. Along with Dr. Adams, she wrote a procedure for the R. N. Magazine on sanitation procedures in an operating room.

Mrs. Dube and her late husband, Ralph Dube, were married for nearly sixty years. In September, 1994 she moved from Center Ossipee to the Taylor Community in Laconia where she volunteered at the Community Living Center for two years. Mrs. Dube was a member of the Odd Ladies for twenty-five years and was a member of the Pocahontas Home for a number of years.

Mrs. Dube was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Laconia-Gilford. Mrs. Dube is survived by a stepsister, Mary Thibodeau of Florida and Harrison, Maine and two nephews and two nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Dube, in 2002.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church, 500 Gilford Avenue, Gilford. Rev. Dr. Victoria Wood Parish, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will be held at a later date in the family lot in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
