Elizabeth Speltz

MOULTONBORO - Elizabeth Speltz, of this town and Vero Beach, Fla., died March 10, 2002, in Vero Beach.
Born in Stratford, Conn., on Feb. 9, 1920, she graduated from the Bridgeport School of Nursing in 1942. She worked as a nurse and visiting nurse in Bridgeport, Conn.
She was married to Eugene Speltz on April 17, 1943. The couple retired to Florida in 1983 and maintained their home in Moultonboro.
Mrs. Speltz spent many years in volunteer positions, including being a Girl Scout leader, school nurse, Historical Society guide, and in many Methodist Church organizations.
She is survived by her husband, Gene, of Vero Beach, Fla., two sons, David of Amherst, NH, Paul of Moultonboro; one daughter, Karen of Westport, Conn., and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m., at the Center Harbor Congregational Church in Center Harbor. Calling hours will be on Friday, March 15, from 7-9 pm, at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, using the carriage house entrance, 164 Pleasant Street in Laconia.
Memorial donations may be made to he Lakes Region Conservation Trust, P.O. Box 1097, Meredith, N.H. 03253 or to the Epilepsy Foundation of America, 4351 Garden City Drive, Landover, MD 20785.
The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home in Laconia is in charge of arrangements.
