Laconia——-Marguerite M. Savard, 79, formerly of Lake Village Apartments, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at the Belknap County Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the last five years.

She was born February 24, 1923 in Lakeport, NH, the daughter of Odilon and Emelia (Truchon) Savard.

Miss Savard was a lifetime resident of Laconia. She attended Laconia High School.

Miss Savard was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church and was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Friendship Club of the Lake Village Apartments.

Survivors include three sisters, Emelia Rozen of Gilford, NH, Lena Berkey of Rochester, NH, and Ann Smith of Forked River, New Jersey; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Wilfred J. Savard and Odilion Savard and four sisters, Rosilda Gowen, Yvonne Anastasoff, Rose Theberge, and Ora Dockham.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2002 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2002 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH. Rev. Francis E. Kelso will officiate.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH 03246.
