Edwina (Luneau) MacMichael

Laconia——-Mrs. Edwina (Luneau) MacMichael, 88, of 16 Charlevoix Place and SunBridge Nursing Home, Wolfeboro, died at the Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro on Friday, March 8, 2002. She was the widow of Warren E. MacMichael who died in 1966.

Mrs. MacMichael was born January 5, 1914 in Northfield, NH, the daughter of Joseph and Zerilda (Provencher) Luneau.

Mrs. MacMichael was a lifelong resident of Laconia and was a graduate of the Tilton School and Keene State College. She was the manager of the Gibson Book Store for 13 years and opened the first natural foods store in the Lakes Region. She was an artist, poet, musician and story teller.

Mrs. MacMichael was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan M. John of Wolfeboro and Mary M. Cable of Milford; four grandchildren, Jeremy Cable, Jacob Cable, James Cable and Emily Cable Ronan; a great granddaughter, Julianna Kristen Cable; a sister, Aline Luneau of Meredith; and many nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held later in the spring at the family lot in Union Cemetery.
