Elizabeth C. Davis

Laconia—-Mrs. Elizabeth C. Davis, 89, of 21 Ledges Drive, died at her home on Saturday, March 16, 2002. She was the widow of Charles H. Davis who died in 1994.

Mrs. Davis was born September 7, 1912 in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Gilbert C. and Elva M. (Chapman) Baines. She had been a resident of Laconia since 1993 coming from Gilford. She had lived in Needham, Mass. for many years.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Gilford Community Church. She was also a member of the Opechee Garden Club for 20 years and enjoyed painting.

Mrs. Davis was a Red Cross Volunteer in Needham for over 20 years and also was a volunteer at the Ledges.

Survivors include 2 sons Scott H. Davis of Belmont, NH and Steven C. Davis of Richmond, VA.; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a brother Gordon Baines, of Mass.; several nephews and nieces.\par

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial service will be held at the Gilford Community Church, Potter Hill Road, Gilford, Monday, March 18, 2002. at 4:00 PM. The. Rev. Donna Hankins-Hull, Interim Pastor of the church will officiate.

Spring burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH 03249.

The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
