Madeline Jenness Davis

Meredith——-Madeline Jenness Davis, 93, formerly of Parade Road, Meredith, died on Monday, March 18, 2002 at the GoldenView Health Care Center.

Mrs. Davis was born December 20, 1908 in Meredith, NH the daughter of Clarence and Edith (White) Jenness.

Mrs. Davis lived most of her life in Meredith. Mrs. Davis was a school teacher in Piermont, Campton and Lakeport, NH. She later worked at Gilbert Clock. She retired in 1978 after being employed at the Laconia State School for twenty years where she started out as an attendant and later became an office supervisor. She loved cats and cars.

Mrs. Davis was a former member of the Congregational Church of Laconia, and was a past member of the Grange.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Walker and her husband, Herb Walker of Laconia and Nancy S. Wing of Lakeport; a son Stuart Ian Davis and his wife, Mary Davis of Meredith; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Jenness, and a sister, Teresa Culver.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2002 from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Meredith Village Cemetery, Meredith,
NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247
