Anna Burnham

LACONIA — Anna "Jean" Burnham, 71, of 48 Davidson Drive, #32, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, March 3, 2002.

Mrs. Burnham was born on April 26, 1930, in Norwalk, Conn., the daughter of Oscar and Florence (Marsh) Peterson. She was a resident of Laconia for the last three years, coming from Gilmanton Iron Works where she had lived for 25 years.

Mrs. Burnham was a homemaker and enjoyed making dolls and was a member of New Hampshire League of Craftsmen. She was a member of the Gilmanton Iron Works Community Church.

Survivors include two sons, Donald G. Burnham of Contoocook, and David W. Burnham of West Bethal, Maine; two daughters, Susan J. Grondin of Falmouth, Maine, and Debbie A. Burnham of Laconia; a granddaughter, Sarah Grondin; two sisters, Elinor Hurlbut of Roxbury, Conn., and Ruth Miller of Clark Summit, Pa.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, at 10 a.m. at the Gilmanton Iron Works Community Church, Iron Works United location. Pastor Linda Bolton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Northern New England Chapter, 6 Chenell Drive, Suite 260, Concord, NH 03301.

The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
