Wendell L. Ellsworth

Belmont——-Wendell L. Ellsworth, 71, of 614 Province Road, died at his home on
Friday, March 29, 2002.

Mr. Ellsworth was born June 23, 1930 in Laconia, NH, the son of Eveard and Ethel (Hilliard) Ellsworth.

Mr. Ellsworth lived most of his life in Belmont. He was employed at Laconia Shoe for 19 years and later as a machinist at Webster Valve in Franklin for 27 years, retiring in 1992.

Mr. Ellsworth enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes. He was an avid outdoorsman and snowmobiler. He was a former member of the Belmont Bogie Busters Snowmobile Club.

Survivors include his wife, Helen (Stone) Ellsworth of Belmont; four sons, Wendell L. Ellsworth, Jr. of Gilmanton Iron Works, Michael L. Ellsworth of Belmont, Scott C. Ellsworth of Northfield and Jeff M. Ellsworth of Lakeport; two daughters, Cheryl M. Rouse of Belmont and Kim A. Ellsworth of Manchester; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Hilliard of Belmont and Bernice Miller of Springfield, MA; and three brothers, Raymond Ellsworth of Gilford, and Leon Ellsworth and Walter “Billy” Ellsworth, both of Belmont, NH. He was predeceased by a brother, Eveard “June” Ellsworth, Jr.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesady, April 2, 2002 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH., using the Carriage House entrance. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Crook, pastor of the Belmont Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.
