Laconia-----Frank  J. Connell, Jr., 66, of 25 Union Avenue Apt. 411, died at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

         Mr. Connell was born February 12, 1942 in Salem, Mass., the son of Doris M. (Lallier) and Frank J. Connell, Sr.   He lived in Wakefield, MA for most of his life before moving to Laconia, N.H. eight years ago.

         Mr. Connell served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by the Town of Wakefield for twenty-five years, retiring in 1998.

         Mr. Connell was a member of the B.P.O. E. and the American Legion in Laconia, N.H. and Wakefield, Mass. 

Mr. Connell was a family man and an avid fisherman.

         Survivors include two sons, Mark J. Connell, of Westminster, Maryland and Matthew J. Connell of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren; one brother, Michael J. Connell, of Melrose, Mass; one nephew and three nieces.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Connell was predeceased by a brother, David J. Connell, April 12, 2005. 

         Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. The Laconia Lodge of Elks will conduct a Session of Sorrow during the calling hours at 7:00PM.

         There will be no funeral service.

Burial will be held in the family lot in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Peabody, Mass. at a later date.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N. H. 03247.
