Norman J. Pomerleau

Gilford-----Norman J. Pomerleau, 78, of 47-10 Annis Drive, died at Genesis Eldercare Network – Laconia Center on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

         Mr. Pomerleau was born June 28, 1929 in Berlin, N.H., the son of Joseph and Laura (LaJoy) Pomerleau. 

Mr. Pomerleau was raised and educated in Berlin before moving to Gilford forty-five years ago. 

Mr. Pomerleau was a meat cutter and was employed as the meat manager at Vista Grocery Store in Laconia.

Mr. Pomerleau was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport.  He was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876.  He enjoyed doing yard work and was a Red Sox and Patriots’ Fan.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy (Hayden) Pomerleau, of Gilford; a son, Scott J.C. MacKillip, of San Diego, California; two stepdaughters, Shelly Rosenberg of Missouri and Pamela Vaillancourt of Florida; a brother, Raymond Pomerleau, of Manchester, Connecticut; a sister, Elaine Kelly, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; two nephews and two nieces.

Mr. Pomerleau was predeceased by his first wife, Ella (Hamilton) Pomerleau, in 1988.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.  A Session of Sorrow will be conducted by the Laconia Lodge of Elks at 7:00PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00AM.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876, PO Box 676, Laconia, N.H. 03247.
