Belmont---Gary W. Malette, loving father, son and brother passed away at his home on May 31, 2008, after a two year battle with lung cancer.

Gary was born March 25, 1961, in Malone New York, the son of Barbara Harte Malette and Thaddeus J. Malette.  His family moved to Gilford when he was six years old.  He attended local schools and graduated from Gilford High School- Class of 1977.  After graduating Gary moved to Florida were he married and became a dad.  He returned to the area with his daughter in 1999.

Gary is survived by his daughter Megan of Belmont, his mother Barbara Malette of Belmont, his brother Robert of Washington, his sister Deborah Sanville of Laconia and sister, Tamorah Asvaraksh and her husband Edward of Amherst N.H., many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother Craig in 1957 and his father Thaddeus in 1999.

At the time of his death, he was not working because of his health.  He was previously employed at Boys and Girls Club of Manchester,  Verizon Center and Meadowbrook.

Gary will be remembered by his daughter Megan as a very loving and caring father and by his mother as a loving and caring son.

Gary loved hunting with his Dad and brother, playing with his nieces and nephews, listening to music and he was writing a book at the time of his death.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street Laconia using the Whipple Ave. entrance.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday time and place to be announced pending family arrival. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Laconia.
