Stanley E. Littlefield, Jr.

Laconia-----Stanley E. Littlefield, Jr., 71, of 800 Elm Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Tuesday, May 9, 2006.

Mr. Littlefield was born August 20, 1934 in Gloucester, MA the son of Stanley E. and Grace M. (Day) Littlefield Sr. He was a long time resident of Rockport, MA before retiring to Gilmanton, NH in 1998.

He later moved to Laconia in 2001.

Mr. Littlefield served in the U. S. Army and was a self-employed contractor. He was a self-taught artist and enjoyed doing woodcarvings of animals. He also enjoyed gardening, bird watching in his backyard, making bread, fishing, hunting and bike riding. He was an outdoor enthusiast.

Mr. Littlefield was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rockport, MA; a thirty year member of the Gloucester Lodge of Elks #892 and a member of the Lakes Region Art Association.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Anita L. (Walima) Littlefield, of Laconia; a son and daughter-in-law Mark S. and Lisa Littlefield; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. and James Kluge, of Rockport, MA and five grandchildren, Sara G. Littlefield, Emma L. Littlefield, Eric W. Littlefield, David J. Kluge and Jason P. Kluge, all of Rockport, MA. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Rockport, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of North Shore Inc., 10 Elm Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
