Frederick J. Gebhard

Laconia---Frederick J. Gebhard, 79, of 765 Union Ave. Apt. 210 and formerly of 2 Pear Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Sunday, May 29, 2005.

Mr. Gebhard was born November 10, 1925 in Laconia the son of Arthur A. and Hazel (Dionne) Gebhard. He was a life long resident of the Lakes Region.

Mr. Gebhard served in the US Navy during WWII and was on the USS LST-706. He was employed at Scott & Williams and Cormier Hosiery for over 35 years retiring in 1987. After he retired he worked for the Laconia Ice Company for 13 summers.

Mr. Gebhard was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church. He loved woodworking, working on the family home and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include his wife Beverly B. (Jesseman) Gebhard of Laconia; 3 sons Gary Gebhard and his wife Cyndi of Belmont, Glen Gebhard and his wife Margaret of FL. and Gregory Gebhard of Gilford; a daughter-in-law Tina Gebhard of Laconia; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; a brother Arthur Gebhard of Roanoke, VA; 3 sisters Edna Huff of Roanoke, VA., Irene Copazzo of New London, CT. and Theresa Hickey of Belmont; several nephews and nieces. Beside his parents he was predeceased by a son Jeffrey "Fish" Gebhard who died December 15, 2004.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 1,2005 from 7-9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
