Laconia------ Mrs. Irene J. (Brunelle) Dargy, 87, of 25 Union Avenue died early Monday morning, May 16, 2005, at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia after a brief illness. She was the widow of Philippe E. Dargy who died February 25, 1998.

Mrs. Dargy was born February 24, 1918 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of the late Ernest and Nellie (Boisjoli) Brunelle. She attended local schools and graduated from Laconia High School, Class of 1936.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Dargy and his wife, Lorraine, Roger Dargy and his wife, Diane, all of Laconia, NH and Micheal R. Dargy, of Gilford; seven granddaughters, Naomi, Michele, Nicole, Tracy, Amy, Jenna and Amanda.; six great grandsons, Staff Sgt. Benjamin Emery who is currently stationed in Iraq, Aaron, Peter, Nicholas, Steven and Max; three great granddaughters, Meredyth, Jaimee and Brooke; one great-great granddaughter, Taylor; one nephew and two nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Brunelle.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 7:00-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the Church, will celebrate.

Burial will be in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247
