Louis "Lou" Wolfe Hobbs

Belmont-----Louis "Lou" Wolfe Hobbs, 37, died May 23, 2005 of natural causes at his home in Belmont. He was born in Laconia, NH on July 21, 1967, the son of Walter Hobbs and Marilyn (Pelchat) Hobbs Hill. He lived in Belmont most of his life with his grandparents, Gwendolyn and Romeo Pelchat.

He graduated from Belmont High School and was attending Southern New Hampshire University as a psychology major. He worked for nineteen years at
Northeast Security Agency, most recently in human resources. He was a very active volunteer for several organizations, including PFLAG-NH, NAMI-NH and NH-TREE (Transgender Resources for Education and Empowerment.)

His family includes his beloved grandmother, his "Creepy", Gwen Pelchat, of Belmont; his mother, Marilyn Hill, of Belmont; three sisters, Michelle Talbot of Gilford, Laura Chamberlin of Northfield and Heather Hill of Belmont; several nieces and nephews; his cousin and best friend, Ayden Nevers, of Laconia and his very special friend, Gayle Spelman of New Hampton.

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, NH for Lou and his step-father, Leo L. Hill, Sr. who died May 18, 2005. A luncheon will follow in the Church hall.

Burial will be at a later date in the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont, NH.
