Laconia-----Michael T. Pinckney, 39, of Laconia, died of a congenital heart disorder at his home on Saturday, March 7, 2009.

Michael was born November 10, 1969 in Laconia, N.H., the son of Donna (Barnard) and Peter Pinckney, Sr. Michael was raised in Laconia and in 1988 he graduated from Laconia High School where he was very active in basketball, football and track. After graduation, he moved to Concord, California where he lived for fifteen years before moving back to Laconia in 2004. Michael was a very talented musician.

Michael is survived by his parents, Donna and Peter Pinckney, Sr. of Gilford; a brother, Peter Pinckney, Jr., and Jen Isham of Gilmanton Iron Works; a sister, Cheryl E. O’Hara, and her husband, Alan, of Laconia; two nephews, Casey O’Hara and Corey O’Hara, both of Laconia; a niece, Samantha Pinckney, of Gilmanton Iron Works; his paternal grandmother, Jeanne Caldwell, of Laconia and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at the family lot in Bayside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lou Athanas Youth Basketball League, PO Box 1633, Laconia, N. H. 03247-1633 or to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, N.H. 03101.
