Rev. Prescott Newhall

Belmont,-----Rev. Prescott Newhall, 73, of 17 Gray Rocks Road, went home to God on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.

Rev. Newhall was born November 28, 1935 in Wareham, Mass., the son of the late Stanley & Lucielle (Gardner) Newhall.

Rev. Newhall attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass. He was married to Rev. Betty (Cook) Newhall of Everett, Mass for fifty-three years. He pastored for thirty-seven years, including ten years in North Attleboro, Mass. and eleven years in Malden, Mass. before retiring in 2000.
Rev. Newhall was a sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

Rev. Newhall was a scout master and District Commissioner for the Boston Council. He was N.R.A. state representative and was a member of the Pemi Rod & Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, Rev. Newhall is survived by four children, Barbara Baker of Hooksett, N.H., Prescott Newhall and his wife, Katherine, of North Reading, Mass., James Newhall and his wife, Elizabeth, of Tewksbury, Mass. and Beth Brown and her husband, Mark, of Belmont, N.H.; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Stephen Newhall and a sister, Karen Newhall.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00AM at the First Church of Nazarene, 529 Eastern Avenue, Malden, Mass.

Burial will be at a later date in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery ,Boscawen, N.H.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Church of Nazarene, 529 Eastern Avenue, Malden, Mass. 02148.
