Laconia-----Ourania (Argiropolis) Gallagher, 86, of 16 Kentfield Court, died at Genesis Eldercare-Laconia Center on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Mrs. Gallagher was the widow of Milo Gallagher who died in 1972.

Mrs. Gallagher was born May 2, 1922 in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of Michael and Viola (Karanikola) Argiropolis.

Mrs. Gallaher was a lifetime resident of Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1941. Her employment years were many, starting with the early war years at Scott & Williams and then onto N.H. Ballbearing. Many years were spent at the Imperial Market where she worked evenings at the family grocery store on Bay St. Before retiring, she worked at Papa Gino’s Pizza where she thoroughly enjoyed the social contact with people.

Mrs. Gallagher was a member of the Taxiarchai Greek Orthodox Church.

Mrs. Gallagher will be remembered by her family as being a great provider in many ways. She is survived by her sister, Angie Argiropolis, of Laconia; two nephews, Michael Argiropolis and John Argiropolis; one niece, Maria Argiropolis, and two great nephews, Andreas and Khristopher. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Gallagher was predeceased by a sister, Rita Argiropolis, and by her two brothers, her twin, John Argiropolis and George Argiropolis.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:00AM at the Taxiarchai Greek Orthodox Church, 811 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. Rev. Peter Papps will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Taxiarchai Greek Orthodox Church, 8ll North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
