Noralie F. Messer Send a condolence note

Laconia --- Noralie F. Messer, 67, of White Oaks Road, died peacefully at her companion’s home Sunday morning, March 2, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Peterborough, NH, on October 9, 1940, she was the daughter of Chester and Claudia (Daigle) Newell. She lived in Belmont for 23 years.

Mrs. Messer was predeceased by her husband, Francis P. Messer in 1997.

Mrs. Messer worked for Vernitron in Laconia for 15 years, retiring in 1996.

Mrs. Messer enjoyed bowling, crocheting, bingo, crossword puzzles, traveling and dining out with companion, Norm Giguere. Mrs. Messer was a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Belmont for 10 years and attended many of the church’s functions.

Family members include her companion of 9 years, Norman Giguere, of Laconia; two children Tammy A. O’Brien, of Laconia and Daniel J. Geoffrey, of Belmont; three stepsons, Francis A. Messer, Patrick B. Messer, and Jerome O. Messer; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline M. Messer; and two grandchildren Nicholas Burbee and Kelsey Burbee both of Gilford; 7 step-grandchildren; a niece, Sheila Babineau, of Blackfoot, Idaho.  In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by a sister, Marilyn Collins.  

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 5-8PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ronald Witkin, Dr. Alan Rosenfeld and Dr. Charles Catcher for their care and support.
