Stanislaus "Stan" Kaluder Send a condolence note

Gilford, NH---Stanislaus “Stan” Kaluder, 83, of Gilford, New Hampshire, died March 28, 2008 at his home in Gilford, NH.

Born in Maribor, Yugoslavia (now Slovenia), he was the son of Blasius Kaluder and Matilda Dobersek.

Stan immigrated with his family to the United States in 1957 after an interim stay in Nuremburg, Germany. He and his family lived for many years in South Bend, IN, and Lafayette, IN. Stan resided in Gilford since 2000. He and his wife, Maria, worked for Kraft Foods in Lafayette. He served in the German Air Force during World War II. He was a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Laconia and a long time supporter of Ozanam Place in Laconia. He will be remembered by all for his great story-telling.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Maria, who died in 2000.

He leaves his three daughters, Erika Johnson and her husband, Bill, of Gilford, New Hampshire, Eva Kaluder of Vienna, Austria, and Kristine Fenton and her husband, Doug, of Northville, Michigan; his five grandchildren, Lisa Johnson and her partner, Mack Branton, of Orlando, FL, Dana Venino and her husband, John,  of Long Branch, NJ, Eric Johnson and his wife, Susan McCann, of Campton, NH, Kathryn Vezina and her husband, Michael, of North Attleboro, MA, and Alexis Khan of Northville, MI; his sister, Slava Gorjup and her husband, Mihec,  of Maribor, Slovenia;  three brothers, Fritz, Andreas, and Silvo Kaluder of Germany; his five great-grandchildren; and his companion, Kathy Klostermann.

Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH from 3 to 5pm on Thursday, April 3, 2008 using the Carriage House entrance.  A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made to Ozanam Place, 63 Highland St, Laconia 03246.
