Ellen Noveen Cunliffe Send a condolence note

Gilmanton Iron Works, NH----Ellen Noveen Cunliffe, 96, of 35 Anderson Road, died at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Laconia, on Saturday March 1, 2008. She was the widow of Harold Cunliffe who died in 1983.

     Mrs. Cunliffe was born April 5, 1911 in Beverly, MA the daughter of Albert Edward and Jane Ellen (Riley) Preston. She had been a resident of Gilmanton Iron Works since 1976 coming from Beverly.

      Mrs. Cunliffe was an active artist. She was a member of the Gilmanton Community Church, the Gilmanton Garden Club and the Heart of New England Chihuahua Club. At the time of her death she was the holder of the Boston Post Cane.

      Survivors include a son John Preston Cunliffe; a daughter Judith McIntire-Stancombe; 5 grandchildren Jane M. Sanborn, James P. McIntire, Julie A. Rhinehart, Jennifer F. Farley and John Preston Cunliffe, Jr.; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister Phyllis Preston Brousseau of Edgefield, S.C.; a niece and a nephew.

      There are no calling hours.

      A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Gilmanton Community Church, Gilmanton Iron Works location. The Rev. Linda Bolton pastor of the church will officiate.

     Spring burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilmanton Iron Works.

     In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Gilmanton Community Church, Box 6 Gilmanton Iron Works NH 03837.
