Jeffrey A. Marden

Belmont------Jeffrey A. Marden, 41 of 200 Seavey Road, Belmont died at his home on Sunday March 18, 2007.

Jeff was born November 3, 1965 in Laconia the son of Lewis and Shirley (Hamel) Marden. He was a life long resident of Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School class of 1982.

Jeff took a great deal of interest in the Town of Belmont, where he was on the Planning Board. He was also on a number of committees including the Belmont Master Plan, Belmont Capital Improvements Committee, the Shaker Regional School District Space Needs Committee, the Lakes Region Planning Commission, the State of New Hampshire Architectural Barrier-Free Design Committee, the Save The Gale School Committee and recently appointed by the Governor to the NH Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Advisory Council.

Jeff enjoyed life to the fullest, loved the outdoors and especially hunting. He reached far and beyond to help other Quads with encouragement to go on in life. He always was looking for a new challenge and his saying was “There is always somebody worse off then I am”.

Survivors include his parents Shirley and Lewis Marden, Sr. of Belmont; a sister Barbara Binette and her husband Richard of Belmont; 3 brothers James Marden and his companion Phyllis Fogg of Belmont, Lewis Marden Jr, and his wife Denise of Belmont and David Marden and his wife Linda Nielsen of Belmont; 6 nieces; 4 nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews and his girl friend Kathy McKinster of Belmont.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday March 20, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 21, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jeffrey A. Marden Belmont Conservation Commission Scholarship, C/O Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation PO Box 7312 Gilford, NH 03247-7312.
