Blanche "Bunny" E. Wiener

Meredith-----Blanche “Bunny” E. (Siegel) Wiener of 65 Pleasant St. died on March 1, 2006 at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia after a brief illness.

Mrs. Wiener was born October 29, 1930 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Max H.and Bessie (Wineberg) Siegel.

She was raised in Trenton, New Jersey and was known to her family and friends as “Bunny”. A graduate of Syracuse University, she hosted her own television show in the 1950’s. Upon moving to Meredith in 1972, she co-founded Sports and Marine Parafunalia, Inc. with her husband. Bunny was well known in the community and passionately served on the Board of Directors of the Meredith Chamber of Commerce for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Paul Wiener of Meredith and children Patricia Jucha, of Tehachapi, California; Tod Weston, of Pompano Beach, Florida; Bart Jeffreys, of Gilford, NH and their families, and her sister Marcia (Siegel) Stern, of Ewing, N.J. and her three nieces. She was a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren: Kaid J. Weston and Jake R.Weston, both of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Kelin H. Jeffreys and Hayley S. Jeffreys, both of Gilford, NH. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley (Siegel) Stone, of Irvington, NY.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be held at a later date in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Two Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101 or a charity of one’s choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lakes Region General Hospital for their kindness and professionalism.
