Unity-----Dora M. Harriman, 87, formerly of Wildwood Road, Laconia, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH on Saturday, March 25, 2006. She was the widow of Robert H. Harriman who died in 2003.
Mrs. Harriman was born January 6, 1919 in Bethlehem, NH, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Ann (Cotnoir) Ledoux. She had been a resident of New Hampshire for most of her life and lived in California for fifteen years. In 1999, she moved to Laconia and had been a resident of the Sullivan County Nursing Home since 2005.
Mrs. Harriman was employed at the Lakes Region General Hospital for twenty years, retiring in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith A. Carroll, of Newport; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory R. and Helen Harriman, of Belmont; seven grandchildren, Deborah Spear and Laura Carroll, both of Newport, Shaun Carroll, Jr., of Sunapee, Robert Carroll of New London, Rebecca Carroll of Walpole, Brock Harriman of Laconia and Melissa Young of Belmont; twenty great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Helen Blanchard, Lora Dumas and Maxine Palmer; by two brothers, Theodore Ledoux and Alfred Ledoux and by a great grandson, Cole R. Harriman.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Beech Street, Newport, NH on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 10:30AM. Rev. Rick St. Louis, pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Elmwood Cemetery, Franconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one’s own favorite charity.
