Laconia-----Jason D. Morse, 79, of 7 Nutmeg Circle and formerly of 183 Morningside Drive, died at the Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, Florida on Friday, March 11, 2005 after a sudden illness.

Mr. Morse was born October 12, 1925 in Boston, MA.

He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during WWII.

Mr. Morse came to Laconia in 1946 from Boston and was employed at Sawyers Jewelry. He was founder and owner of Saymore Trophy Co., the J. D. Morse & Co. and Engraving & Awards. In recent years, Mr. Morse was employed at Sawyers Jewelry.

Mr. Morse was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel, Laconia, NH.

He was a charter member and former King Lion of the Laconia Lions Club and was recently made a life member of the Club.

Mr. Morse is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Harriett (Cohen) Morse, of Laconia, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary S. & Sandra Morse, of Richmond, VA; two grandsons, Dustin Morse of Newport News, VA and Adam Morse of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Lenore Laskin, of Phoenix, Arizona; five nephews and a niece, including Robert Sawyer and Judi Rogato, both of Laconia, NH.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 11:00AM at Temple B'Nai Israel, 210 Court Street, Laconia, NH.

Burial will be in the family lot at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA
