Virginia L. Johnson

Meredith-----Virginia L. Johnson, 80, formerly of Little Road, Meredith Neck, Meredith, NH, died at the Goldenview Healthcare Center on Thursday, March 3, 2005. Mrs. Johnson was the widow of George L. Johnson who died in 1989.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 28, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Sydney and Louise (Piety) Green. She lived in Nashua for several years before moving to Meredith over twenty years ago. Mrs. Johnson was employed by New England Telephone Company for over twenty years. She was an avid square dancer and was a former member of the Border City Squares and the Lakeside Swingers.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth E. Johnson of Hollis, NH and Kevin E. Johnson of Meredith, NH; three daughters, Nancy L. Zeloski of Hollis, NH, Beverly J. Fontaine of Nashua, NH and Janet L. Davidson of Plymouth, NH; nine grandchildren; a sister, Lois Dober; two nephews and one niece. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Arthur A. Johnson.

Calling Hours will be held in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH on Monday, March 7, 2005 from 9:00AM-11:00AM. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home. Rev. James Chaloner, Pastor of the First Church of Nashua, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 12 Clarendon Street, Boston, MA 02116.
