James F. Cronan, Jr.

Belmont-----James F. Cronan, Jr., 79, of 14 Fifth Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Tuesday, March 15, 2005.

Mr. Cronan was born March 15, 1926 in Boston, MA, the son of James F. & Catherine (Heron) Cronan, Sr. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He lived in Billerica, MA for several years before moving to Belmont, NH twenty years ago.

Before Mr. Cronan retired from International Fueling Co., Hanscom Field, Bedford, MA in the 1980?s, he was a licensed commercial pilot. He frequently assisted with annual boat shows through Adams Marina in Winnisquam, NH. He enjoyed his family, friends and the love for music.

Survivors include a son, William J. Cronan, of Brockton, MA; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah A. and Charles Bowser of Nashua, NH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Shade Cronan of N. Harwich, MA and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Stephen and by a sister, Mary Murphy.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 from 4:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 11:00AM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
