Belmont-----Gary G. Goupil, 49, of 365 Laconia Road, died March 21, 2005 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia after a battle with lung cancer.

Mr. Goupil was born September 19, 1955 in Laconia, NH the son of Joseph and Theresa (Picard) Goupil. He grew up in Laconia and worked for many years as a sheet rocker in Laconia and surrounding areas. Mr. Goupil was a member of the American Legion Post #l and also a member of the Laconia Rod & Gun. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the yearly fishing derby with his friends and nephews.

Survivors include his mother, Theresa (Picard) Goupil of Belmont, NH; his four brothers, Leon Goupil and his wife, Lynn, of Northfield, NH; Roger Goupil and his wife, Denise, of Laconia, NH; Steven Goupil of Laconia, NH and Jamie Goupil and his wife, Darlene, of Newton, N. J.; two nieces and seven nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Goupil, and by his brother, Tom Goupil.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held in late spring.
