Albert ("Pito or "Uncle Al") Oscar Clark

Gilmanton-----Albert ("Pito" or "Uncle Al") Oscar Clark, 1913- 2003 died March 18, 2003.

Mr. Clark was born in Oxford, MA.- married in 1936 and moved to Gilmanton in 1944.

He was the Fire Chief of Gilmanton for 13 years 1950-1963, as Fire Chief he was the "chief cook" at the Gilmanton annual clambakes. He was also a member of the first Planning Board of Gilmanton. He was employed as the caretaker for the Nodding Wood Farm for over 30 years.

He loved his "farm", his wife, his sons, his grandchildren and great grandchildren and just about everybody.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Helen; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard A. & Joyce, Ronald E. & Caroline and Roger W. & Liz; eight grandchildren, Laura , Ronnie, Mark, Michael, Rhonda, Richard, Scott and Rachael; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one nephew and three nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Saint Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, NH, 03220 on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 10:00AM.

Burial will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 10:00AM at the family lot in Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Belknap County Nursing Home, Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246 or to one's own charity. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
