Walter H. Skulski

Gilford-----Walter H. Skulski, 75, of 9 Sargent Place, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at the St. Francis Home, Laconia, NH.

Mr. Skulski was born June 7, 1927 in S. Boston, MA, the son of Mathew and Elizabeth (Sotko) Skulski. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War and later was a U. S. Merchants Marine Officer for the U. S. Coast Guard.

Mr. Skulski lived in Randolph, MA for a number of years. He was a deep sea marine engineer and worked for the District #2 Marine Engineers Beneficial Association for 33 years before retiring in 1984. After his retirement, he moved to Gilford, NH. He was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks # 786 and the Laconia American Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post No 1.

Mr. Skulski was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Lakeport.

Mr. Skulski is survived by a sister, Helen Desalvator, of Buzzards Bay, Cape Cod, MA; and several nephews and nieces including Ann Marie Powers of Gilford. He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 from 7-9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH

Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH
