Leo E. Schulten, Jr.

Moultonboro, NH, Leo E. Schulten, Jr. of Falls Church, VA and Moultonboro, NH, died on June 19, 2002 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH of pneumonia. He had been ill with congestive heart failure for several years.

A career Army Officer of the Adjutant Generalís Corps, Col. Schulten served in Germany and Korea as well as many posts in the United states. In 1966, Leo retired and was then able to spend the summer months with his family at their cottage on Moultonboro Neck, where he was an avid fisherman. He was a communicant of St. Charles Church.

Leo is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty, two sons, Tom of Kingsville, MD and Steve of Dover, NH; two brothers and three sisters all residing in Louisville, KY. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive him. His daughter, Teresa, and one brother predeceased him.
There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Noon at St. Charles Church. 281 Daniel Webster Highway, Rte 3, Meredith, NH. Rev. Richard B. Thompson, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

Burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.

Donations may be made in Leoís memory to the charity of oneís choice.
