Gilford----Mrs. Beatrice E. Black, 85, of 71 Annis Drive died on Friday, June 14, 2002 , after a period of declining health at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH. Mrs. Black was the widow of Ernest Thayer Black.
Mrs. Black was born May 13, 1917 in Dover, NH, the daughter of William and Blanche (Davis) Hayes. She lived in Alton for a number of years before moving to Gilford a year ago.
Survivors include a son, William M. Black of Canada; four daughters , Sandra Black Sommers and Joanne Black Christen, both of California, Maureen Black Smith of Alton, NH and Deborah
Black McClintock of Gilford, NH; 6 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2002 from 10AM -12NOON at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. using the Whipple Avenue entrance.
A funeral service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home following calling hours at 12:00 noon.
Burial will follow in Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland, Maine.
