Denise Y. Soucy

Gilford------- Mrs. Denise Y. Soucy, 46, of 3 Marine Drive, died Wednesday evening, July 31, 2002 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia following a brief long illness.

Mrs. Soucy was born December 21, 1955 in Nashua the daughter of Fernand and Theresa (Lemay) Ricard. She was a graduate of the Nashua High School class of 1973.

Mrs. Soucy and her family have been residents of Gilford since 1986 and was an office Clerk for the Town of Gilford.

Mrs. Soucy was a communicant and taught CCD at Sacred Heart Church, Laconia.

Mrs. Soucy was active in the Gilford High School Athletic Booster Club and also a Board member on the Aaron T. Francour Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Soucy always had a smile, was there for her family and sons games, loved flowers, gardening, walks, oceans and the coast of Maine. She was a fighter, which gave her family strength, a beautiful woman and also willing to help and donate her time to others.

Survivors include her husband Norman M. Soucy of Gilford; 3 sons Michael and his wife Janice Soucy of East Hampton, MA, Nathan Soucy and Brett Soucy both of Gilford; a grandson Nicolas Soucy of East Hampton, MA; her mother Theresa Ricard of Nashua; a sister and brother-in-law Paula and William Johnston of Merrimack; father-in-law and mother-in-law Norman and Cecile Soucy of Nashua;; 3 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Claudette of Rehoboth, Ma, Richard and Anne Morrissette of Hillsboro, NH and Steven and Denise Hansen of Groton, MA; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Friday August 2, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Carriage house of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2002 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, 291Union Ave, Laconia. Rev. Adrien Longchamps will officiate.

Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH
