Laconia----Helen Louise Wells of 298 Province St., Laconia passed away on June 15, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on April 11, 1944, in Laconia, NH. Helen was a lifetime resident of Laconia. She briefly lived in California and Maine while her husband was in the service. She also was a resident of Lakeport, NH for several years.

Helen worked at Lakes Region Manufacturing Company until April 2009. She worked as a Machine Operator. She also worked at K-Mart and Laconia Shoe Shop.

Her loving husband Fred H. Wells survives her. They were married for 38 years. She is also survived by: Victoria Nelson and her husband Brian of Alexandria, Heidi Gannon and her husband Sean of Hampton, NH, Fred J. Wells and his wife Lesley of Belmont, NH and Heather Wells and her companion Patrick Rauls of Gilford, NH

Helen has eleven grandchildren who she loved dearly; Amanda, Kimberly and Sarah Bresse, Amber, Nicholas and Shae-Bridget Gannon, Ryann and Nathan Wells, McKayla and Gordon McLaine Masterson, and Emily LaFlam.
Surviving sisters and brothers are June Clough of Tilton, NH, Joan Hibbard of Brockton, Massachusetts, Linda Fedorczuk of Laconia, NH, Susan VandeMeulebroecke of Portsmouth, NH and Sandra A. Barrett of South Berwick, Maine, Bruce Hibbard of Northfield, NH and David Hibbard of Florida.

Helen had many nieces and nephews. She also had many aunts and uncles.
She was pre-deceased by her Mother, Pearl Hibbard, and her father Gordon Hibbard and a brother Michael Hibbard.

Helen loved to sew, and do crafts. She also loved reading and spending time with her family. She also loved to go to craft fairs.

Our family would like to thank the nurses from the Community Health & Hospice for all there help with our Mother. We would also like to thank Gina Clark and Ellie for all their loving care that showed our Mother during this illness.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 5:00-7:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H. Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
